Dr. Misha Faustina

Misha Faustina, M.D. is a graduate of Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee. She completed a general surgery internship at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., followed by ophthalmology residency at State University of New York- Downstate Medical Center Health Science Center Brooklyn.

She is a fellowship trained ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon, having completed her oculoplastics fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, as well as an externship in Austin, Texas with John Shore, M.D., the then President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS).

 

She is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Physician Specialties.

Dr. Faustina is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Faustina has authored and co-authored book chapters and numerous articles in scientific journals. She has presented in local, national, and international forums in her sub-specialty as well as on the worldwide web.

Dr. Faustina specializes in diseases and surgery of the eyelids, brow, orbit (boney eye socket), and lacrimal (tear drainage) system. She has a strong interest in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid and brow surgery, peri-ocular cancers, and trauma.

She is a noted expert on Thermage, a non-invasive radiofrequency procedure that helps smooth, tighten and contour skin and the only FDA-approved procedure to work directly on the eyelid skin to reduce wrinkling, hooding and crows feet.
